Divin is a monument hýriaca village in the district Lučenec lying in Banská Bystrica region. The village belongs to the Novohrad region, it lies at an altitude of 265 m.n.m and has an area of 2392 ha. Divin attracts its visitors with numerous historical monuments and beautiful natural surroundings. History lovers at first sight with its ruins of a Gothic castle Divin, which was built at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries. This medieval castle retains its masonry and procedures is gradually revealed further archaeological research. Near the castle is the chapel of St. Anne, dating back to 1775. enticing also visit the Renaissance fortified manor house built in 1670. Additional historical monuments of the village is the church built in 1657 in Baroque style encircled by walls originating from the 17th century.
