Nová Lesná

New Forest is the Eastern village located in the region of Prešov, district Poprad. The village belongs to the High Tatras region, it has 417 ha and 1605 inhabitants. Attracts its visitors by beautiful nature of the Tatras, many options for sports and interesting cultural monuments. The village is situated in Poprad basin beneath the southeast foot of the High Tatras. Altitude municipal area is 730-853 meters. n. m. Part of the village is part of the nature reserve Tatra National Park and there are many hiking trails in this wonderful silence of nature. Among the most popular hiking and biking trails as well as nature trails include the path to the huge waterfall, which is about 20 meters high, Strbske Pleso, Rocky Mountain Lake, Cold Creek Waterfalls, Hincovo Pleso, Front Solisko and others. Every year in the village conducted a summer goes by the Novolesniasnku slot during which tourists pass through the Old Smokovec to Hrebienok hill up to the Outlaw cottage and back.
