Gerlachov is a picturesque Tatra municipality located in the district of Poprad. It lies in Prešov Region with an area of 527 ha, belongs to the region Spiš and has 830 inhabitants. Offers visitors beautiful mountain scenery, many opportunities for sport and stunning historical monuments. Gerlachov is located in Poprad basin in the foothill of Lomnický hills. Every year takes place Mountain Kros - running uphill Gerlach. This race will begin at an altitude of 791 m. n. m. and ending at the Silesian House (1670 m. n. m.). The beautiful monuments include the granite monument to the fallen hero SNP built at the end of World War II and placed in the center of the village and the cemetery 24 fallen soldiers who lost their lives in a plane crash in 1944. the most interesting is the stone bridge lying at the bottom of the village and built in 1865. the bridge was created from rubble stone connected with mortar.
