Brezno Central Slovakia is a beautiful village in the district of March. It falls under the Banská Bystrica Region and regions Chopok - South. It is situated on 45.89 square kilometers and has a population of 596. Attracts its visitors with beautiful preserved nature, for sport and many cultural monuments. At first glance we can see the magic of nature that surrounded the village. The upper limit is situated at an altitude of 640 m. n. m. and extends into the Low Tatras National Park. It is stored under the ridge Ďumbierska of this beautiful protected area. On their own here Lovers of sports and beautiful nature, which are prepared for a variety of hiking trails in Low Tatras National Park, cycling, cross-training for runners, winter sports such as skiing, cross country skiing and various other sports. The village is teeming with beautiful cultural monuments. The oldest monument is the Roman Catholic church of St. Michael the Archangel, built in baroque style of the late 17th century. Belfry to the church was built only in 1789. Rare is the neo-Gothic main altar with a statue of St. Michael the Archangel, patron of the village. The church is considered a national cultural monument. Among the famous buildings it includes the Lutheran church, which dates from 1790. The church stands out among the churches of the others precisely because it was built without any technique. The upper time limit is the birthplace of poet and national revivalist Sam Chalúpku.
