Liptovská Sielnica village is Stredoslovenská it is place in the Žilina region within the district. The village has 1724 ha, 608 inhabitants and belongs to the region Liptov. Offers visitors beautiful nature associated with sportiness and historical monuments. Liptovská Sielnica lies between Choc mountains and the Western Tatras in the middle of the Liptov basin in an undulation called Sielničanky. The village is located just a few kilometers from Liptovská Mara, which flooded the original territory of the municipality. Liptovská Sielnica old reminds residents only cemetery, Pine Grove, building the mill and village Brnice. The village offers many educational and hiking trails for the experienced and less experienced. The most famous hiking trails lead to the top of Choc or Kvačianska Prosiecka valley and that of Lithuania Sielnica through Prosiek - Ráztocký waterfall - Oblazy Kvačianska valley and back to Lithuania Sielnica. In addition to tourism there are many possibilities for cycling, skiing, sightseeing cruise on the Mare or various other water sports. The most interesting historical monument of the village is a unique tower of the Roman Catholic church built in Gothic style in the second third of the 13th century. On the territory there are the ruins of the Liptov Old Castle built on top of Sestrčskom in the 13th century. Every year the village held cultural events such as Mother's Day, theater performances, Havránok - Celtic from the Middle Ages, Bakus, carnivals and other dedicated not only to children but also adults.
