Liptovské Sliače

Liptovské Sliače is a magical Central Slovak village located in the Žilina region. district Ruzomberok, Liptov region. The village has an area of 1960 ha and 3756 inhabitants. It offers its visitors a pleasant and quiet countryside, many opportunities for sports and engaging cultural monuments. The village is situated on the southwest area of the Liptov basin in the valley called Sliačanky. Altitude municipal area is 540 m. n. m. In the commune there are state nature reserve called Sliačske travertine with finding place Mofet spring. The surrounding countryside offers visitors many hiking trails. Tourist section organizes the yearly output to nearby and distant mountains. Examples include output Liptovské hills - big and small bogs, Choc SIP Features, Krivan. In addition to tourism Liptovské Sliače also offer tennis, table tennis, bodybuilding and football. The pride of the village is the Roman Catholic church dedicated to St. St. Simon and Jude. It was built in the years 1326 - 1334 in the Gothic style, later in 1680 to briefly to the church and tower. Preserved architectural details such as windows, vault, portals and bars come from the Middle Ages. The construction is the late Renaissance to Baroque altar with panel paintings of the Madonna in the late Gothic style from 1517. The side wing altar built in the late Gothic style, dedicated to Mary O. dates from 1500-1510 and winged altar dedicated to St. Nicholas is built in 1510. The building is the pulpit from the 18th century. The unique two hearts is the church built in 1995, which has the shape of sheets. Folk wooden bell tower was built in the early 19th century. Every year there take place various cultural events such as performances by local folk groups Juniáles, balls, summer theater and more. When you visit this enchanting village, visitors can stay in apartments, B & B or cottages.
