Svidník is a district town located in the Prešov region. The city is located in the Northern Beskydy at the confluence Ladomírka and Ondava and added to the region Saris. When you visit Svidník you can observe many historical monuments that only the city offers as well as the surrounding countryside.

History buffs when visiting the city come into their own when you visit the National Museum - Museum of Ukrainian Culture, the oldest ethnic museum in Slovakia. The museum is also open-air museum of folk architecture with Gallery Dezider Milly and unique wooden temple. In the gallery, we can observe a set of icons that belong to the oldest museum exhibit. Consuming is a visit to the Military Museum, where there are findings of fighting various types of weapons as well as personal monuments soldiers. The museum is the Monument of Soviet military cemetery and soldiers who were victims of the fighting in the Dukla Pass. The national cultural monuments include the Natural Area Memorial Czechoslovak Army in Dukla as well as various religious monuments of the city, especially the Eastern Rite churches that are here. In the town Svidník you can visit a number of other eye-catching wooden churches which are in Huncovce, Korejovce as well as other towns and cities.

City annually attracts its visitors with cultural and social event Festival of Rusínov- Ukrainians, where they presented their folk traditions and culture.

Hikers can choose from in the city for various hiking trails and explore Northern Beskydy. You can swim in the water world, which offers visitors three outdoor swimming pools and swimming, paddling and recreational with artificial waves and an indoor spa pool with thermal water.
